Pune: Godrej Enterprises Group announced that its Security Solutions business has become the first in the physical security industry to receive the prestigious GreenPro certification for its lockers.
This recognition positions Godrej as the only player in the sector to achieve this milestone, underscoring its leadership in advancing sustainable and secure product solutions.
GreenPro certification: Industry-first achievement in security solutions
The GreenPro certification is granted after a stringent evaluation process covering procurement strategies, renewable energy use, water recycling, sustainable raw material sourcing, eco-friendly packaging, recyclability, and responsible end-of-life product management.

The certification remains valid for two years, ensuring continued adherence to defined carbon emission benchmarks.
Pushkar Gokhale, Business Head of Security Solutions, Godrej Enterprises Group, stated, “At Godrej, sustainability is not just a responsibility but a core business priority. With 36% of our revenues already coming from Good & Green products, our target is to scale this to 50% by 2030. The GreenPro certification of our lockers reflects how we are embedding sustainable practices into our core revenue-generating products to achieve this goal.”

The Security Solutions business has aligned its product designs with its Eco Vision and Green Policy, focusing on product stewardship and life cycle management.
Transitioning from energy-intensive barriers to eco-friendly high-strength alternatives, the company has also implemented comprehensive measures at its plants including energy efficiency, water conservation, greenhouse gas mitigation, waste management, material recycling, and a green supply chain.

Products awarded GreenPro certification
The GreenPro certification has been conferred on a range of Godrej’s security products, including Strong Room Doors (Class C & B), High Security Class A Safes, Home Lockers, and Safe Deposit Locker Cabinets.
These solutions embody the brand’s dual commitment to sustainability and security, ensuring customers no longer have to choose between environmental responsibility and product safety.
